Remember the last election?
Like who could forget! It went on for about 200 years.
Remember the slogan of the now president elect? Every time he spoke he said it. It was the basis for his "throw the bums out" populist appeal to voters. He even blamed his opponent for being one of "them" - whatever them was.
People fawned all over the guy because he represented "change". Yes, he was the "change" candidate. He was going to "change" the culture of Washington. He promised "change" for the little guy, the forgotten, the hard working tax payer by making the rich fat cats pay more.
Maybe those who voted for him should have read the sign more carefully. That was CHANGE with a small "c".
Well guess what happened to the change guy? He changed!
President elect Obama has been surrounding himself with Washington insiders, Wall Street advisers and big money men (some who were behind the financial meltdown we are now facing) and has already started speaking about scaling back some of the changes he touted so loudly during the campaign.
I hate to say I told you so but... the more hings change the more they remain the same.

I heard Obama on a news clip today reacting to critics that his spate of appointments have revealed anything but change and here's what he said: "When I said we were about change I was talking about me." Talk about almost driving the pickup off the road. That guy wouldn't know to change a diaper. We're in for one dandy ride.
Bill O is showing what a fool he is once again! Change isn't about the players, it's about how the game's played.
Do you really want a bunch of "Outsiders" who haven't a clue running the country? If that's what America wanted, we would have voted for Palin!
Change begins with how we approach issues and execute the solution. Change is is about focus. Who will benefit? The Middle Class majority, or the Upper Class minority?
Remember a mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open!
